High and Low key setting
WWW: In this photo shoot I was able to use low key lighting really well to show the feeling of the images and how the main subjects are feeling using the low key lighting
EBI: the one thing I don't like about this photo shoot and the images that came out of it was that I would use different set ups to where the light and soft boxes are in the photoshoot set up to help show more details on the main subjects faces. |
WWW: I feel that this photo shoot went really well and I was able to show all the different shadows of the image on to the blue back ground by using the idea of high key lighting.
EBI: I feel that all of the photo from this photo shoot look the same therefore I don't really like them that much due to this, however if I was to do this photo shoot again I would use different coloured backgrounds to make my photos look different. |
low key :
Working with (low key) with low content black and white set up to help show the 'Chiaroscuro effect'.

The Chiaroscuro effect
Chiaroscuro is an Italian artistic term used to describe the dramatic effect of contrasting areas of light and dark in an artwork, particularly paintings. It comes from the combination of the Italian words for "light" and "dark.".
first came from art and painters to make there work look better. This photo shows a example of this effect this is what I was wanting to recreate.

high key:
Working with (high key) with high content with lots of lights and soft boxes to helps to get a lot of light in to the image.

To help me with this I research a photographer called Roland Barthes that's looks at the idea of low and high key lighting and writes books about he's own research that he talks about in he's books of photography.
Making sure when doing the photo shoots that I kept in mind denotation the subject in which I'm taking the photo of and also connotation what the meaning of the photo that I'm taking why I'm taking the photo in the first place.
